Université de Nantes

The University of Nantes, founded in 1961 in its present form, is a comprehensive and multi-disciplinary university with 37,000 students in 20 faculties, in technology, humanities, and sciences. It has a strong focus on excellence in teaching and research that contributes the most actively to sustainable development objectives addressed by the United Nations. Biodiversity is one of the main themes of the research federation IUML (Institut Universitaire Mer et Littoral FR CNRS 3473) composed of 19 laboratories and 600 researchers.
