Methodology
- Sampling
Many specimens collected with various traps intended for Tabanidae. Trap and lure information is included in the field notes when known (from specimen labels). If specimen labels included an associated flower, then sampling protocol was assumed to be with net.
- Study extent
Primarily Rutland County, Vermont, United States with a small number of specimens from other states and Canada provinces. Not all specimens from outside Vermont were identified or digitized.
