Nansen Legacy Bacterial and Archaeal community composition
Description
The bacterial and archaeal community composition based on 16S rRNA metabarcoding of seawater samples taken along the transect of the Nansen Legacy project (https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q110857128) from 2018 to 2021. The samples contain 7 datasets from different cruises at different time points. From the samples the DNA was extracted and then used for 16S rRNA gene sequencing using the standard Earth Microbiome Project primers (515F and 806R) and Illumina MiSeq paired end sequencing. The raw sequences were run using the DADA2 pipeline (Callahan et al., 2016) and then cleaned for samples with under a total of 10000 sequences and ASVs with less than a total of 3 sequences per sequencing run or 0.0001% relative abundance.
