The Equator Principles Association recently released an update to the Equator Principles (EP4) and a related series of Guidance Notes. One of the new commitments in EP4 to share biodiversity data is detailed in this Guidance note on biodiversity data sharing for EFPI clients.

During this webinar organized through the Cross Sector Biodiversity Initiative (CSBI), staff from EPFI client companies that are IPIECA, ICMM or Equator Principles Association members can start learning how to comply with this commitment by sharing non-sensitive project-related biodiversity data openly through the GBIF network. In addition to providing an introduction to GBIF, the session will:

    • Provide CSBI members with information on and awareness of the new commitment and associated Guidance Note
    • Seek comments and feedback to be used to inform future iterations of the commitment, guidance note and related communications
